James Blakes is a Chicago barber born and raised on the West Side. He started cutting hair at 15, and fifteen years later, barbering is still something he approaches with real passion and respect.

What he's always appreciated about the craft is the history behind it: the tradition, the culture, the timelessness. Over the years he's built his own approach on that foundation, working with everyday professionals, celebrities, and pro athletes alike.

His expertise goes beyond the cut. James specializes in barbering, hair processing, coloring, loc maintenance and styling.
